Peruvian Connection was founded in 1976 by mother and daughter team Biddy and Annie Hurlbut. Anthropology student Annie fell in love with the hand-woven fabrics she found in the markets of Cuzco, Peru, and set about producing alpaca sweaters and selling them in the US. Today, the brand’s goal is the same: to offer original designs in luxury fabrics, all made by skilled Andean artisans. Peruvian Connection ensures that the artisans it works with receive fair wages and work in safe conditions. It also supports a number of social initiatives in Peru and Latin America, including micro-finance opportunities for women. Infinity Trend has granted Peruvian Connection four sustainable value badges.
